Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) website – is located approximately 12 minutes (three (3) miles) from the Peppermill Reno Resort and is serviced by major airlines. Please visit the website for more information.

 

Airport Transfers Hotel shuttle is complimentary, no reservation required. Shuttle departs from the airport every 30 minutes from 4:15 AM to 11:45 PM (pick up at North exit of the baggage claim area); shuttle departs from the hotel every 30 minutes from 4:00 AM to 11:30 PM (pick up at valet area outside hotel lobby). Cab or rideshare fares range from approx. $11 to $20 depending on type of vehicle, time of day, etc.

With great pleasure, the NCSLA Executive Committee welcomes our members and guests to a long-awaited annual conference "homecoming" at the Peppermill Reno Resort in the Biggest Little City in the World! We look forward to being your hosts, and will be ably assisted by the extraordinary Peppermill staff and event helpers from all four Hawaii county liquor commissions.

Business Meeting

Reconnect, Rethink, Redesign - The annual conference theme accentuates the organization's and industry’s resolutely positive outlook and the continuing need for resiliency in the future. While COVID-19 will continue to play a central role in this and future conferences, the business agenda gives equal time to many other issues of similar importance. The business program begins with a then-now analysis of topics surfaced in the seminal Towards Liquor Control, and segues to emergent issues pertaining to commercial, societal, legal, and ethical norms. Social Activities, Socially Distanced

This year, with our attendees’ health and safety being the highest priority, we are not planning the traditional off-premises excursion. Instead, all conference activities will be kept in the most glamorous "bubble" in Reno, where attendees will have ample opportunity to network – catch up – make merry – relax in the Peppermill’s AAA Four Diamond rated property. For those wanting to explore the Reno-Tahoe surrounds on your own, the registration materials will feature an easy way to access information and plan excursions using your smart device (see a preview below).

The banquet night’s event will be a grown-up version of the homecoming dance, with tunes from the 70’s-80’s-90’s, karaoke, award presentations, and installation of NCSLA’s new officers for the 2021-2022 year! Stay tuned for how attendees will participate in some of these activities ahead of the big dance, and extra credit to anyone who attends homecoming wearing era-appropriate attire!

Registration Information

Early conference registration ends Thursday, July 22 so don’t delay! The registration fee increases $50.00 after July 22.

You have the option of paying by credit card or check. The registration fees are outlined below.

• State Member = $350 ($400 after July 22)

• Government Associate Member = $400 ($450 after July 22)
• Associate Member = $500 ($550 after July 22)
• Invitee of NCSLA President or Conference Host = $500 ($550 after July 22)
• NCSLA Past President = Fee waived (NCSLA Bylaws Article I, Section 2)
• NCSLA Past President Spouse = Fee waived (NCSLA Bylaws Article I, Section 2)
• Spouse/Guest 21 Years Old+ (All meals, receptions & hospitality)= $200 ($250 after July 22)
• Spouse/Guest (President’s Banquet only, receptions & hospitality) = $100 ($150 after July 22)
• Guest 3 - 20 Years Old (All meals, receptions & hospitality) = $100 ($150 after July 22)

CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations are subject to a $200.00 deduction per person. Due to contractual commitments there will be NO REFUNDS AFTER AUGUST 13, 2021. NCSLA Federal Tax ID Number: 52-6043243.

ATTIRE: Attire for all scheduled business and social functions is business casual and resort wear. The exception will be the Banquet/Homecoming Dance, which is more formal but also festive (think prom appropriate attire for all!).

WEATHER: The average high/low temperatures in Reno are 91° / 53° F so be sure to pack for sunny and cool weather!

SPECIAL NEEDS: Individuals with disabilities or special dietary requirements who need special accommodations should email Pam Frantz at pfrantz@ncsla.org to make arrangements. Requests should be made no later than August 13, 2021 to allow sufficient time for us to meet your needs.

EXHIBITOR INFORMATION: The cost of one (1) 6 ft. or 8 ft. skirted table for two (2) consecutive conference days is $400 per table. If you would like to purchase exhibit space please complete the Exhibitor section on the registration form. Exhibitor is responsible for making arrangements with the hotel. Please contact Chad Clarno at the Peppermill to coordinate, and assist you with internet access or electrical needs (e.g. cords, power strips, etc.) and arrange for direct billing.
